Art Waves Ministries began in 2018 as a drop-in center for at-risk youth living in Soweto slum, in Kenya. Our goal is to empower the youth by providing them with a platform where they receive professional training, biblical encouragement and are equipped to transition into a life of sustainability.
We desire the at-risk youth to experience authentic connection, encounter their true self, discover their significance in the heart of God and see them mold into young men and women of integrity and purpose.
AWM works in the slums of Soweto, mentoring through discipleship training, worship and Bible studies.
AWM runs a drop-in center utilizing creative art programs in dance, music, photography and videography.
AWM also offers workshops and seminars on anger management, conflict resolution and effective communication.
There is so much creativity and inventiveness in Kenya. AWM goal is to allow the youth to use their gifts and abilities to rise above this state of hopelessness and develop their own small businesses.
AWM also values education and is beginning a sponsorship program for the youth to complete high school or to receive post-secondary training.
