MASTER: The person of Jesus and His unrelenting affection for humanity, in spite of our weaknesses and failures, is the motivation for all ministry and missions. He is the great practitioner of incarnational mission (Heb. 3:1) and the authority and empowerment for it (Matt. 28:18, Acts 1:8). The church was purchased by the shed blood of Jesus and belongs to Him (1 Cor. 6:20; 7:23). He is the builder of the Church (Matt. 16:18) and the Senior Leader/ Chief Shepherd (1 Pet. 5:4).
Every member in a community is ultimately accountable first to Jesus, and lead elders in the community should not impose leadership upon others (Matt 20:25). Leadership is earned through relational and spiritual authority as we model devotion to Jesus and His commands leading others to deeper relationship with Him. Leadership and influence is designed to equip and train others to follow the calling and destiny that Jesus is leading them into, not to fulfill our ideas or vision for their lives. (Eph. 4:1)
The entirety of scripture points to Jesus and as such is our standard for knowing Him, loving Him and becoming more like Him. (John 5:39-40)
MISSION: Every disciple is called and sent by God to live out every part of their life with gospel intentionality, demonstrating to all those around them their need and ability to be restored to God through Jesus Christ. Every activity of their life is seen as the missionary work of God through His people regardless of their social status, where they live or what their vocation is. Everyday life lived saturated in the gospel with our neighbors, friends, colleagues and the poor is the ultimate "program" and apologetic that brings life change in others.
MOVEMENT: Rapid growth/ multiplication is a sovereign work of God's gracious Spirit and not something we can manufacture on our own. Nevertheless, a rapidly growing Church Planting movement remains a clear goal and focus of all that we do and a guiding intention in all our decision-making, ministry models and training. If it is not simple, easily reproducible and Romanian it's not going to lead to movement.
MULTIPLICATION: The GREAT COMMISSION is the sending of all His people to make disciples that make disciples that make disciples. (Matt. 28:18-20) Equipping or coaching is the primary task of any leader, not doing ministry for or to others. (Eph. 4:11-15) We engage in practical ways to serve and love others in and around Brasov, as well as study the Bible in simple church gatherings, demonstrating the love of Jesus in community with Christians and Non-Christians, as a means of teaching them to obey Jesus (Matt. 28:18-20) using the Model, Assist, Watch and Leave approach.
